About Susie

Susie Fairfax Davies is an accredited City of Westminster Guide having completed the Diploma of Special Study in Tour Guiding City of Westminster from Westminster University.  She is a member of the City of Westminster Guide Lecturers Association (CWGLA). 

 

Susie started her career as an actress including two years with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon and London, episodes of French and Saunders, Inspector Morse and Nanny on television and the films Mrs Dalloway, If Only and David Puttnam’s Winter Flight.  

She then moved into media and public relations for clients including Good Housekeeping and BBC Good Food magazines. Her work in travel PR included guiding groups of journalists around such diverse locations as Mexico, Curacao, Kuala Lumpur and South Australia.  

 

Susie is a published travel writer, and has travelled extensively, including a year in Australia, where she spent some time working as a ‘Jillaroo’ in central Queensland and crossed the Nullarbor Plain by train.  She has spent time in many locations around the world – highlights include trekking in Nepal and exploring the Galapagos islands.

 

She has appeared on TV in episodes of Poldark, Doctors and TRUST and completed a UK tour of 'A Room With A View' by E M Foster, which starred Felicity Kendal.  She appeared in 'Wicked Little Letters' starring Olivia Coleman playing Dorothea and in WONKA starring Timothy Chalmeny
